I have always liked the features of a headset, but didn't like being tied to one while on a long call.This headset has all the features I wanted, plus it allows me to use it on my computer and to also tie into my cell phone through BlueTooth technology. this allows me to answer 3 different phones with the same headset. It is also the quietest and one of the most comfortable ones I have worn in years. Plus, you do not get any intereference from other devices (like cell phones) so it makes it a pleasure to wear and walk around the house with. I have been through the entire house with it, and it hasn't faded or caused static. The only compalint about this was the picture on the web site. It shows it as a monorial type headset when in fact it was a binaural. The main failure is the ability to always make the connection to the base or dropping the connection while in use. Sometimes while using the unit it will oscillate between connecting and disconnecting. The only fix I have found for the connection issues is to unplug the power to the base and then reconnect it. Very often when placing the headset in the base the button on the back of the headset (disconnect/connect) is accidentally pressed (poor location of the button) because the unit sometimes requires a bit of a push. Very often I accidentally adjust the volume, especially when placing the unit in the base or when putting the headset on. Very often I cannot hear the party I'm calling loud enough even-though I have the volume set at the highest level. Often after placing the headset in the base something... I use VOIP and a cell phone with Bluetooth in a home office. I talk on my phone between 6 and 10 hours every day, alternating between VOIP and cell. This thing is great! I leave my cell in a dock on my desk next to the base unit, and connect the base to my computer with a USB cable. Whether I am on cell or VOIP, I can walk great distances from the base without any issues. With Bluetooth, you get 30 ft. The headset is very comfortable for all day use, inbound and outbound sound quality is excellent. The headset is NOT Bluetooth. This is actually a good thing for me as the range from the base is much greater than BT would be. It is not a headset you can use "on the road" but for the office it is absolutely perfect. |
